Troubleshooting

Why is the room not cold?

1. Air filter clogging – A clogged filter can disrupt the flow of air out. Customer may clean it themself by water flushing and wipping it. Just make sure the filters rise and dry before replace back into the unit.

2. Remote control is not appropriately set.

3. Leaking of Refrigerant – Gas leaking could further effect the cooling of your unit. Simply adding more refrigerant gas is not advisable. A professional technicians must point out where the leakage through carry out with nitrogen (N2) testing.

4. The aircon installed is undersize – Room size play a important role in purchasing the aircon unit. Most of the consumers purchase their aircon unit without thinking the cooling capacity for the room space.

Suggestion: 9k – 12k btu for bedroom, 18k – 24k btu for living or dining area.
An expert technician will determine the right aircon btu for the room with a site survey.

Why is the air-con water leaking?

1. Dirty Air Filter – Water leak will also causes with dusty filter. It is because the flow out of air may be blocked by dust. The air around the evaporator coils will become too cold and this will cause the coils freeze over. When the coils freeze, the outside hot air will cause the ice melt and lead to leaking problem.

2. Low Refrigerant – A low amount of refrigerant may be the reason for your unit leaking problem. This will make the evaporator coil freeze over. As it melts, there is an overflow of water into the drain pipe and causes the air-con water leaking.

3. Broken Condensate Pump – The condensate pump is a device installed to support water removal. If the pump fail working, the water can’t being pumped outside anymore. Water will spill out from the wall or other surrounding areas.

4. Damaged of condensate drain pan – Condensate drain pan is a part of most central in air conditioning systems. When this pan is damaged, the water will spill out onto the floor. You’ll need to replace the pan.

Why does the air-con turn on and off automatically?

1. Compressor dirty or clogged – The accumulation of dust on the outdoor component may cause compressor overheat (high amph). Hence the aircon will switch off itself as a safety precaution.

2. Loose Cable – This is another common problem that cause your aircon unit switch off automatically. Some loose cable can influence the function of your unit, damage the euiqpment and create tripping hazards. Broken cables should be replaced with the new ones .
